About a week ago, Australian TV network Channel 7 ran a 12-minute piece highlighting the very real consequences of the rising anti-vaccination movement. Remarkably, and fortunately, the report managed to conform to “accepted journalistic standards” (i.e. present both sides of the “debate” even though none actually exists) and still convey the right message. The report is covered in detail over at the Sceptics Book website. My message is this: firstly, please read Sceptics Book coverage and watch the report. Secondly, I reiterate the call for action – do what you can to applaud Channel 7′s report and support further coverage of this quality. Thirdly, please. Get your children vaccinated. The benefits far outweigh the risks.
